Service Hawk
Service Hawk can be earned annually. In order to qualify for the Service Hawk you must:
- Attend 3 of 5 Lodge Days of Services
- Attend 2 of 3 Induction Weekends
- Staff Trailblazer
Unit of Excellence
The Egwa Unit of Excellence (based on the the previous OA Unit of Excellence) is an annual award that any unit within Egwa Tawa Dee can apply for. The requriements are designed to help show that your unit activiely plans & promotes activity within the OA. The requriements can eb found at: bit.ly/EgwaUnitOfExcellence
New Arrowman Award
All requirements must be completed within one year of completing your induction. (i.e. Candidates who go through induction in November 2024 will be eligible through November 9, 2025) A full list of requirements can be can be found at bit.ly/EgwaNewArrowman
Vigil Honor

- Scouting Community
- A Scout Camp
Under no circumstances should tenure in Scouting or the Order of the Arrow be considered as reason enough for a Vigil Honor recommendation.” (For a complete explanation of the meaning and selection criteria, refer to “Vigil Honor” in the Order of the Arrow Handbook.)
You may use the form below to fill out the Vigil Honor Nomination.
Each section of the nomination is required and must be completed fully. Those submitting the nomination should feel free to request information from the Lodge officers, Advisors, along with Chapter, Unit & District leadership to complete the nomination as needed.
Nominations must be submitted no later than July 31.

Founders Award
The Founder’s Award is the highest award the Lodge can bestow upon a member. The criteria is for “those who best exemplify in their everyday life the true meaning of the OA: the basic ideals of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness and Service.”
Lodges may petition the national Order of the Arrow committee to present between two and four awards annually, depending on the number of members in the lodge. Distinguished Service Award
The award is a sterling silver arrowhead bearing an arrow pointing up and to the wearer’s right. The award is suspended from a white neck-ribbon on which red arrows are embroidered. A white square knot embroidered on red cloth is available for uniform wear and a silver arrowhead lapel pin is available for civilian wear.
