Lodge Executive Committee (LEC)

The Lodge Executive Committee is the group of people responsible for all aspects of lodge operation. The LEC is the steering committee for the lodge. It carries out the business of the lodge by planning and coordinating fellowship and induction weekends, service projects, training sessions, and other events as appropriate. It consists of the elected youth officers, appointed youth committee chairman, chapter representatives, and Advisors.

The LEC is conducted by Robert's Rules of Order. Please take a moment to review the following documents to acquaint yourself with Robert's Rules.

The Lodge Executive Committee meets at 2:30 pm on the second Sunday of each month (except June and July). The LEC meets some months at the Atlanta Area Council Volunteer Service Center, and meets at one of the council camps other months when the LEC meeting is held in conjunction with an event. Check the Calendar for specific dates and location.

In order to participate in Thrive: A National Webinar, A Local Commitment being conducted Saturday, October 19th, by the National OA committee the Lodge Key 3 has scheduled a special Lodge Executive Committee (LEC) meeting for that day. This special LEC will convene at 12:30 PM at the Atlanta Area Council Volunteer Service Center in the Staff Room. This is a scheduled four-hour interactive webinar that will address the challenges confronting our Order and our Lodge and discuss potential solutions. The Lodge Key 3 is asking all members of the 2020 Lodge Executive Committee to attend and participate. This includes the 2020 Lodge Officer-elects, 2020 Chapter Officer-elects, Lodge Committee Chairs, and their advisers. Refreshments will be available.

This is also the date of the NPS Lodge Day of Service (DoS) so the 2019 Lodge Officers will support the DOS while the 2020 Lodge Leadership participates in this webinar. Those who need to attend the webinar but want to participate in the DoS can plan to attend the DoS in the AM and then leave for the AAC/VSC at the noon lunch break.

Thank you,
Lodge Key 3
